#365daysofyoga - WEEK 12

Week 12 coincided with the 4th of July Celebration. It was an interesting one, all right. No usual big celebrations with colorful crowds, parades, water side fun, music blasting from everywhere and fireworks happening all around. To bring in some sense of normality, I put on a bright red skirt with a blue-white shirt and we had a small group of friends over for bbq. To keep it health we grilled zucchini chicken burgers, had veggies with home made ranch sauce, Japanese okonomiyaki sour pancakes with squid and shrimp, and Josh baked us some Margherita pizza and a gluten free Pesto veggie one. We played 2000's hits signing along and laughing late into the night.

Now that we can travel again, we came back to Hasami that I have so many sweet memories of. Unfortunately my climbing wall and ice cream shop were closed so we just walked around, played our new fun game Cubb and visited bunch of rice terrace fields.

Lotus flower was in full bloom in the beginning of July. Have you ever smelled one? To me lotus smells like a very sweet spearmint bubble gum.

I'm still hoping to get my hands on one of those breathable Uniqlo facial masks but in the mean time with those trips I ended up refreshing my summer wardrobe. Japanese recycling and basic pieces shops are truly amazing - if I could live here forever, they probably would be my first choice for clothing or house needs.
