Hello! My name is Polina. I'm originally from a land of bears, crepes and knee killing dances. Anybody? I was raised in Moscow, Russia and became a certified yoga teacher in 2015 after practicing it for over a decade. I've explored many styles of yoga and to this day will practice anything as long as it feels right in my body. That's what I try to teach as well - to truly connect with your own body, to go for sensation rather than a look, to find a challenge and calm the mind amidst it; all of it with the ancient lifestyle that yoga is. It's my personally belief that yoga is for EVERY BODY regardless of your spiritual practices, political and other beliefs, where you come from or where you are headed.

Now the reason you see this post is because I love a good challenge. 30 days of core, 7 days detox, 1 month of habit building, Ekadashi, endless diets, you name it. Now, there are three reasons why I came up with this lengthy challenge for myself. Number 1 is to return to my personal practice. It's no secret that once you start doing something professionally it gets harder to dedicate time to do it for yourself, to seek that joy, to create just because. Number two is honestly to stay busy. Stepping on my mat, consciously breathing, moving, journaling and simply keeping track of how my life will unfold along the lives of the rest of the world as we face this pandemic together. Which brings me to reason number three. COVID-19 left me unemployed like millions of people. Since I'm a contract worker, I consider myself lucky to know that most places will wait for me, assuming they survive this financially too. But for now, I surrender, I practice and I take it day by day.

Joy,

Polina
