On a foggy day there is no better place to go but the mountains.

A village hidden between Arita and Takeo cities only forty minutes away from Sasebo this place is a gem. A friend and I drove through country side and small cities to arrive to a very conveniently located bus station with plenty of free parking.

Once I started walking cool things were unfolding before me. We strolled around the river banks admiring the pottery work and neatness of Japanese common places. We stopped by some pottery shops to find a clay piece with many holes to display your flowers. Needless to say we each bought it. Next stop was a coffee shop that overlooked the street and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The owner was really kind and served us some Japanese sweets with our iced coffees. A nice base camp caught my eye and I saved it in my google maps list to visit when we hike that area.

Talking away, my friend and I walked all the way around the village without noticing only to come back to the parking lot. Without a doubt I'll be taking my friends and family back to this village. Here are some of my favorite shots ;)
