What is iRest Yoga Nidra and where to find it?

Hello my beautiful yogis!

I'm so thrilled to share with you that I've completed my Level 1 iRest Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra with its founder Richard Miller last month - June 16th of 2017! I went all the way from Virginia across the country to 1440 Multiversity in Scott's Valley CA to attend this training and it was such a incredible experience. First of all, 1440 is a really promising facility - it wasn't running 100% when we got there but I had a wonderfully furnished room, walked to my class every crispy CA summer morning and was served some delicious vegan and vegetarian food while over there. Definitely check them out 1440.org - they offer a large variety of classes, retreats and all sorts of great programs. Here are some pictures for you!

Let's get back to iRest. So what exactly is it?

iRest Yoga Nidra has been developed over the past twenty-six years by Richard Miller, PhD, a clinical psychologist, author, researcher and yogic scholar, and is uniquely suitable for a Western audience.

🌱iRest is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

People using iRest report:

* Decreased stress, anxiety, fear and depression

* Decreased insomnia and sleep disturbances

* Decreased perception of chronic and acute pain

* Improved interpersonal relations

* Increased energy levels

* Increased sense of control in their lives

* More confidence and joy in their lives

* Greater sense of peace and well-being

I've been practicing iRest for a year now and enjoy teaching it very much. I'm offering Group and Individual Guided Meditations starting at $40/hr. There are multiple formats but ultimately you relax laying down while I walk you through the 30-45 min protocol or we have a seated Dyad - a 30 min active meditation where you are able to tap deeper into your feelings and emotions while I merely follow your footsteps and assist you through the process. I know from personal experience and based on many researches done by iRest Institute on how effective the protocol is. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions and want to schedule your iRest Yoga Nidra session at a special intro rate - ONLY $20 for an hour. Also visit irest.org for more info.
